About Our Partnership

 

KEWL WIND, LLC is proud to be an official publishing member of ASCAP (The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers), one of the leading Performance Rights Organizations (PROs) in the United States. This strategic partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to protecting the rights of our artists and creators while ensuring the highest standards in music licensing and publishing.

 

ASCAP plays a vital role in the music industry by licensing the public performance of copyrighted musical works and distributing royalties to its songwriter, composer, and publisher members. Our relationship with ASCAP allows KEWL WIND, LLC to operate at the highest level of compliance and professionalism, benefiting our talent, productions, and partners across digital, mobile, and interactive platforms.

What ASCAP Licensing Covers

 

By maintaining an active ASCAP license, KEWL WIND, LLC is authorized to publicly perform any musical work within ASCAP’s vast repertory, which includes millions of compositions across all genres. This is accomplished through a blanket license, meaning we do not need to secure individual permissions for each song. Whether featured in our digital content, mobile games, or immersive experiences, all included music is properly licensed and covered under this agreement.

 

ASCAP Publisher Membership

 

KEWL WIND, LLC is registered as an ASCAP Publisher Member, meeting all qualifications as an active music publishing entity that assumes the financial risks and responsibilities associated with managing and monetizing musical works. This status ensures that our business operations are in alignment with industry-standard practices and enables us to collect royalties for compositions we publish and control.

 

Registration & Compliance

 

As part of our registration with ASCAP:

 

We provided verified business credentials, including our legal entity name, mailing address, email, and EIN (Employer Identification Number).

For single-member LLC operations, ASCAP allows the use of either the Social Security Number (SSN) of the owner or the EIN of the LLC, depending on federal tax classification.

We have opted for direct deposit setup to ensure fast and accurate royalty payments for works published under KEWL WIND, LLC.

 

ASCAP currently waives certain application fees for new writer members or those registering as both writer and publisher. However, KEWL WIND, LLC has completed the one-time fee required for standalone publisher membership.
